Kargil Vijay Diwas

The school celebrated 12th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July, 2011 to commemorate India’s victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War. Homage was paid to our valiant soldiers who laid down their lives to liberate Kargil heights.
As a part of the celebrations a contingent of 600 students marched along two routes. Route No. 1 : Yashwant Stadium - Dr Munje Square - Rani Jhansi Square - Variety Square - RTM University Square - Bhole Petrol Pump Square - RBI Quarters Square - Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall. Route No. 2 : Dandige Layout - Shankar Nagar Square - Laxmi Bhavan Square - Coffee House Square - Law College Square - Bhole Petrol Pump Square - RBI Quarters Square - Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall.
The march was accompanied by the School Band and horse mounted contingent. The two congingents met at Bhole Petrol Pump and marhed to Vasantrao Deshpande Hall where homage was paid to the martyrs.
Mr Satish Salpekar, Chairman CHMES, Nagpur mentioned in an introductory speech that the school which commenced with a humble strength of 40 students has 760 students today and is providing the excellent facilities of academic, sports and military training.
Shri Abhilash Khandekar Divya Marathi, State Head - Editor was the Guest of Honour. He delivered a talk on Indo-Pak Relations and has country should safeguard it boundaries. Mr Kumar Kale, Chairman, Governing Body, CHMES, Mr Satish Salpekar, Chairman CHMES Nagpur Br., Mr Shailesh Joglekar, Secretary, CHMES Nagpur Br., Air Cmde (Retd) D D Mandpe YSM Commandant Bhonsala Military School, were present on the occasion. Mr Prakash Pathak, General Secretary, CHMES Nashik, Mr Diwakar Kulkarni, Secretary, CHMES Nashik, Mr Ashutosh Rahalkar, Chairman, Bhonsala Military School, Nashik came to grace the function.
Mr Shailesh Joglekar, Secretary, CHMES Nagpur proposed the vote of thanks.

Bhonsala Military School Pipe Band Bags Hatrick
|
Bhonsala Military School pipe band gave a stupendous display of their skill at the 3rd International Marathon held on 30th January in city. their performance was judged as the best for the 3rd successive year which fetched the team a coveted cash prize of Rs. 10,000/-, a trophy & certificates. The band contingent of 35 students comprised of 18 pipers, 16 drummers & the band captain -Pranay Jaiswal. The band performed under the able guidance of Sub Roshanlal Bhagat.
Prize distrubution was held on 20.02.2010 at Dhanwate National college. The performance of the band was lauded by the Commandant- Air Cmde (Retd.) D D Manpe, Head Master Mr. D P Sathe, Asst. Head Mastress Mrs. A. Ansingkar and the entire staff of the school."

Rishabh Jalan From Bhonsala Military School, Nagpur, Stood Second in National Science Seminar-09
Rishabh Jalan From Bhonsala Military School, Nagpur, represented the State of Maharashtra in the National Science Seminar-09. He secured second position in the event conducted at Nehru Science Centre, Worli, Mumbai.
Rishabh Jalan stood first in State Level Science Seminar held at Gopal Sharma Memorial School, Pawai Vihar, Mumbai, on 15th Sep 2009. He was selected to represent Maharashtra State in the National Level Seminar. In all 15 participants from 8 divisions of Maharashtra State Education Board participated in the state level seminar.
The National Science Seminar 2009 was organized by National Council of Science Museums & Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai at Nehru Science Centre, Worli, Mumbai on 26th Sep 2009.
The seminar was inaugurated at the hands of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Former President of India. The Chief Guests were Prof G. Padmanabhan, Sr Scientist and Mr S V Gorakshkar, Chairman, Executive Committee, National Council of Science Museums.
Nehru Science Centre is organizing such kind of seminars for school students for the last 27 years on various current topics. This year the topic of the seminar was ‘CHANDRAYAAN: Promises & Concerns’. In all 33 participants from all states and Union Territories of India participated in the seminar.
Mr M. Annadurai, Project Director Chandrayaan 1 & Chandrayaan 2 were the chief guest for the prize distribution ceremony held in the late evening of 26th Sep 2009. Rishabh Jalan who stood second in the National Level seminar received the scholarship of Rs 500/- per month for a complete year i.e. 6000/- and books worth Rs 2500/- at the hands of Mr M. Annadurai.
Rishabh Jalan has also been awarded a trip to ISRO Trivendrum or SHAR Shriharikota later in the month of October.

Best School Working for Promotion of Sports Award

Our School has been adjudged as the Best School Working for Promotion of Sports. The Sports
Journalists Association of Nagpur (SJAN) and Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) had organized
the Annual Awards function at VITS Hotel on 29th Aug 2010. Mr. Krishnamachari Srikkant ,
Chairman of Selection Committee, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was the chief guest of
the function. Mrs. Archana Dehankar, Mayor of the city presided over the function and Mr. Sandip
Joshi, Chairman, Standing Committee, NMC was also present.
Mr. Shailesh Joglekar, Secretary BMS, Air Cmde (Retd) D D Mandpe, Commandant and
Mr. Dhananjay Sathe, Head Master were present on this occasion.

Republic Day Parade, Delhi

Two Rds Gagan Daph and Subodh Dhule of the school who are the NCC cadet of 1 Mah R and V Sqn had participated in the Republic Day Parade held at Delhi as the member of the Horse riding Contigent. It was consisted of 75 Horses and the riders selected from all over the country. Rd Gagan Daph has scored the 5th rank in Show Jumping while Rd Subodh Dhule has got 5th rank in tent Pegging Show . They had the opportunity to meet the Vice President of India , Defence Minister of India, Chief Minister of Delhi and Chiefs of army, Navy and Air Force. They had the chance to dine with the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. The NCC Directorate Maharashtra has got overall first prize from amongst 17 other directorates all over the country. |

- Rd. Saket Sheikh participated in the National Level Kho-Kho tournament held at Bhopal in the year 2002 – 2003.
- Rd. Karan Kankar & Rd. Anurag Gupta participated in Sub – Jr. National Level Judo Tournament in the year 2003 – 2004.
- Rd. Aditya Bante (Shot Put) - Participated in National Level Athletics and won Gold Medal in Shot Put event for Maharashtra in the year 2004 - 2005.
- Rd. Savindar Yadav (Cricket)- Participated in National Level Cricket tournament Under – 16 for Maharashtra in the year 2004 – 2005.
- Following students got selected for the Nationals held at Guwahati (Assam) in 2006 - 2007.

- Aditya Bante of the school stood first in Shot Put event and was selected for the National Level Tournament held at Mumbai in the year 2006 - 2007.
- In the academic year 2006 – 2007 total 3 students of the school represented Maharashtra state at Nationals in 5 events.
NDA
Till date two students of the school viz. Rd. Rajesh Bandhe & Rd. Rahul Shesh has joined National Defence Academy (Army Wing) in the year 2004 – 05. Rd. Rajesh Bandhe have successfully completed the training and now joined IMA, Dehradun in January 2008 & it is worth mentioning that Bhonsala Military School, Nagpur is the only Sainiki School in Maharashtra to achieve this feat.
SSC
Krupal Panchabuddhe, an alumni of the first batch of the school has been selected for Flying Pilot’s SSC course, Indian Air Force at Dindigul Hyderabad.
NCC Cadets
- Ramdandee Nakul Pathak was selected and participated in the 56th Republic Day Parade held on 26th January at New Delhi.
- Ramdandee Abhishek Nagpurkar, one of the team member, representing Maharashtra state at National level shooting competition organized by Directorate General NCC wherein Maharashtra state stood first. For his excellent performance Rd. Abhishek Nagpurkar was felicitated by Director General of NCC along with other team mates at Mumbai.
