Sports
|
Games and sports are compulsory for all the students. The school has facilities for all major games / sports. Every year our students participate at District, Division, State and National level competitions and leave their mark on one and all by their superb performance. Some of our Ramdandees have distinguished themselves by reaching upto National and International Level Games.
- Cricket
Full cricket field with two box practice nets and one cement wicket for practice. Cricket coaching is provided by the professional coaches.
- Swimming & Water Polo
An International standard Swimming pool of 50 m X 21 m full size has been constructed to impart swimming training to students.  Well furnished bath houses for, 1000 capacity stadium at pool complex, well equipped filtration plant, high mast light, first aid and coaching unit are highlights of the swimming pool complex. This is one of the best facility for aquatic sports available with any institution in central India. Due to this new facility we have already made good start in aquatic sports by winning District and Divisional and thereafter participated in state level Water Polo Competition. Trained coaches supervise the swimming activities.
School is also well equipped with the following games:
Volleyball, Football ,Athletics ,Boxing ,Kabaddi ,Kho-Kho ,Basket Ball,Handball

Military Training
|
We strictly follow discipline in letter and spirit. We are recognized as a Military Training School by the Education Department, Govt. of Maharashtra and hence Military Training is compulsory for all students. Main subjects taught under Military Training are :-
- Battle Field Obstacle Course
To import Realistic Military Training to our boys, we have constructed a Battle Obstacle Course. Rds Above VIII class are made to go through this obstacle course which culminates into Final Bayonet Charge and firing on fleeing Enemy.
- Horse Riding
The unique facility of horse Riding is provided by the school. We have 22 High Pedigree Horses and a Riding Master supported by well qualified training staff, for imparting riding training to students. Horse Riding is compulsory for all Ramdandees, because it builds great confidence in an individual.
- Band Training
Martial tunes is essentially promote spirit of courage and bravery. Our Ramdandees undergo band training. They learn to play various Brass & Percussion instruments and master popular Martial compositions. Besides Flutes, Drums and Bugles, Bagpipes are essential in Martial music. The school has its own “Piper’s Brigade”. Our school’s Pipe Band has become star attraction of all important Military like events in Central India and has been earmarked for Republic Day parade at New Delhi.
- Other Training
The school also provides specialized training in Map reading, Firing, Field Craft, Martial Art, Unarmed Combat, Weapon Training and Variety of drills like Foot Drill, Rifle Drill, Cane Drill, Sword Drill & Ceremonial Drill.

NCC
|
Under the Maharashtra State NCC Directorate, the Nagpur group Headquarter of NCC has alloted ½ troop of 50 cadets (JD) Air Wing to school for the session 2011-2012. Opening of new NCC troop in the school gives enormous potential to the cadets, in the Air Force. The NCC provides opportunities to the cadets for their all round development of personality, the sense of duty, commitment, dedication, discipline & moral values so that they become able leaders & useful citizens. The NCC provides exposure to the cadets in wide range of activities, with a distinct emphasis on social service, discipline & adventure training.
With the motto 'Unity and Discipline', the cadets will learn the importance of discipline, secular outlook, spirit of adventure & the ideals of selfless service.
The different activities in NCC enable cadets to develop their personality, acquire leadership qualities. NCC provides a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the Armed Forces..
The school has a broad vision for the students, hence the opportunities are given to them to join NCC & thus motivate them to work for society as well as nation.
The NCC Group. HQ Nagpur has given the sanction for raising a NCC Half Troop of Jr Division of 50 Cadets and Sr Division (Army Wing) of 25 cadets. Similarly 25 vacancies for Sr Division have also been allotted for the XI std. boys in Remount & Veterinary SQN NCC.

Co-Curricular Activities

Indian festivals
Indian culture is eternal. However, the most disappointing fact of today is that some of our great festivals are being forgotten by us and are thus dying up. In view of this it is the duty of the people specially those who are in the field of education to encourage the students to participate in such celebrations by providing them the correct information and importance of these celebrations. If done so, we are sure that our youth would know about our great culture and heritage apart from keeping physically fit and agile. We are glad to mention that we are eager to take one step forward in this matter. Rds of the school are continuously kept in touch with our own rich cultured heritage. Functions like Guru Pournima, Kargil Vijay Diwas, Raksha Bandhan, Dahihandi, Tilak Punyatithi, Independence Day, Teacher’s Day, Ganesh Utsav, Digvijay Diwas, Gandhi Jayanti, Vijaya Dashami, Founder’s Day, Republic Day, Swami Vivekanand Jayanti, Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti, Shivaji Jayanti etc were celebrated with special quest & enthusiasm.
To give exposure to the hidden talent of the Ramdandees various competitions & co-curricular activities are conducted in the school on every Saturday which includes Elocution Competition, Pick and Speak Competition, Patriotic Song Competition, Story Telling Competition, Poetry Recitation, Science Quiz, Fun Games, Mimicry Competition, Brain & Brown competition, Endurance Test etc.
Raksha Bandhan Utsav (11th Aug 2011) :
Rakshabandhan is an auspicious occasion celebrated in India. On Rakshabandhan day sister tie Rakhi to her brother and appeal him to protect her in case of any danger. We in school celebrate 'Rakshabandhan' to imbibe the spirit of brotherhood and oneness in our Rds. The Rds tie Raksha - sutra to each other and vow to help and protect each other.
This year, Rakshabandhan Utsav was celebrated on 11th Aug 2011. Class teachers tied Raksha - sutra to the class captains. All Rds tied Rakhis to each other.
Tilak Punyatithi (1st Aug 2011) :
School organised Van Mahotsav Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak was a great freedom fighter, social reformer and a revolutionary. He is an ideal example of a true patriot and a leader of the masses. The school has celebrated his death anniversary on 1st Aug. The Commandant, Head Master and Asst Head Mistress offered floral tribute to the portrait of Lokmanya Tilak. Rd Shivanshu Sahu and Rd Devendra Mishra threw light on the life of this great leader.
Krishna Janmashtami Utsav (23rd Aug 2011) :
Janmashtami Utsav was celebrated on 23rd Aug 2011. Mr Vishwas Patil, Sub Editor, Tarun Bharat was the chief guest. Mr Kumar Kale Chairman CHMES Nasik and Mr Shailesh Joglekar Secretary, CHMES, Nagpur were present on the occasion. Following various Fun Games and Competitions were organized for the Ramdandees and the results are as under .

Dahi Handi Competition :
Breaking Dahi Handi is the symbol of Unity, Integrity, Planning and Management on the part of a team. In a team everybody has a part to play, a task to perform. It is the best example of co-operation and co-ordination. Lord Krishna taught these values through breaking of Dahi Handi. The competition was held for Senior and Junior Companies. Ganeshotsava (1st Sept - 6 Sept 2011) :
Every year the school celebrates Ganeshotsava with great pomp and show. Many competitions / programmes are also conducted during this festival. Following this tradition, Ganeshotsava was celebrated from 1st Sept to 6th Sept 2011. Different competitions were held to provide the dais to the students to showcase their talent.
Under Co-curricular extra curricular Activities each company was given one hour to perform variety of items like drama, skits, mimicry, jokes, solo dance, solo song, etc.
The other competitions held were Handwriting and Drawing.
Vijaya Dashmi Utsav :
Dussehra is celebrated in the school with great enthusiasm. The Shastras and Ashwas were brought to school temple. The chief guest of the function was Shri Shailesh Joglekar, Secretary CHMES Nagpur. The Shastra Puja and Ashwa Puja was performed by him.
