Bhonsala Military School, Nagpur has been given permission to start a new Sainik School by Sainik School Society, New Delhi on the "Public-Private Partnership (PPP)" model. It is a partnership between the public sector and the private sector for the purpose of delivering a project or a service traditionally provided by the public sector. The new Sainik School starts functioning from Academic Session 2024-25 and will be called Bhonsala Sainik School (Under the aegis of Sainik School Society). It will be affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

The entry to this school will be on the basis of All India Sainik School Entrance Examination conducted every year by the Sainik School Society, New Delhi. All admissions in this school will be on non-grant basis only.
