Bhonsala Military School, rooted in the vision of Late Dharamveer Dr. Balkrishna Shivram Moonje, was established in 1935 under the Central Hindu Military Education Society to Indianize the armed forces during British rule. With the patronage of Sir Roger Lumley, the Governor of Bombay State, and inaugurated by H.H. Shrimanta Jivajirao Scindia, Maharaja of Gwalior, in 1937, it has since produced top military leaders like Lt Gen (Dr.) M L Chibber, Lt Gen S C Sardeshpande, and Air Marshal Ajit Bhonsale. Today, it stands as a premier institution in India for military education.

At Bhonsala Military School, we foster the fusion of intellectual prowess and martial valour, symbolized by a warrior armed with sacred Vedic knowledge, a bow, and arrows. This blend empowers students to triumph over challenges with the might of knowledge and the intelligence of power.
