The school celebrated 78th Independence Day with full pomp and show. Col Baljeet Singh from Head Quarters Uttar Maharashtra and Gujrat Sub Area was the Chief Guest.
The program began with the Chief Guest being presented a Guard of Honour by a contingent of 30 Ramdandees, the horse mounted column ably accompanied by the School Pipe and Drums band. Company Adjutant Rd Adved Hatkar of class X-A commanded the Guard of Honour. This was followed by hoisting of the National flag by the Chief Guest.
Thereafter, Company Captain Rudra Chatterjee of class XII-A stated that we are celebrating Independence Day because of the great leaders and freedom fighters who have sacrificed their lives in the freedom struggle. Everyone should feel proud and must take an oath to keep oneself loyal and patriotic for the safeguarding of the nation. India is making a niche place in the field of technology, education, sports, finance and other fields, which would not be possible without the freedom. He further added that we should be prepared to tackle any eventuality in our country. We all have to strive hard to make our nation free from poverty, unemployment and illiteracy. He ended his speech with the words that we should sincerely perform our duties for the betterment of our country.
After this event, academic achievers of 2023-24 along with Ramdandees who have cracked ‘Scholarship Exam’ were felicitated.
Thereafter, an impressive Investiture Ceremony was held to present badges of ranks to the Ramdandee Appointments. Col Baljeet Singh, Mr Rahul Dixit, Secretary CHMES Nagpur, Col Amarendra Hardas, Commandant, Mr Ajay Shirke, Head Master Bhonsala Military School, Dr J S Riar, Principal Bhonsala Sainik School, Nagpur presented the badges of ranks and baton to the school appointments and company appointments.
Col Baljeet Singh, while addressing the Ramdandees, stated that people of all religions, caste, creed, dialects and culture coexist peacefully under one roof. It is the feeling of patriotism, desire to do something for the country, make Indians united. He lauded the School Management for providing state of the art facilities to the Ramdandees and making them the leaders of tomorrow. He reminisced the freedom fighters for their selfless sacrifice to protect the nation. He advised Ramdandees to put heart and soul to get an excellent result. Whichever goal your dream, follow it passionately with grit and dedication, he asked. Hard work never fails, it brings only success, he said. He further congratulated the award winners for their achievements and told them not to give up till they achieve their goals. Finally he advised rank holders to do their duties sincerely to motivate their fellow comrades.
Rd Aazaan Baig of class XII-A compered the program as the “Master of Ceremony”.
